While contemplating making the scones of yesterday , of course, I don't have cream on hand or half and half so I thought I should look up a substitution and found this great website....

Mauvice, this is a tremendous gift you have found for us! And the scones recipe sounds delicious!
I loved the set-up for your tea... how lovely an idea to create! Tea was a great custom to give women a break in an otherwise hectic day; too bad it has become passe' of late. Glad you all revived it!
I miss you and everyone in Marshfield, and send my best wishes for a happy spring, once it comes -- here in Philadelphia, we had spring and summer a few weeks ago, and it has gone back to winter of late. Be well and happy!
